Empathy as a Cross-Industrial Shared Value – An Experiential/Roundtable Discussion

Dr. Gokcigdem will chair a multidisciplinary, and cross-industries roundtable discussion with experiential learning elements, focusing on: “Empathy as a Cross-Industrial Shared Value” as part of the WSIE’s “Human x Machine: You. The Future of Intelligence” track.

The roundtable discussion will focus on “Positioning Empathy as a Cross-Industrial Shared Value: Museums as Platforms of Workforce Skill Development, Innovation, and Societal Progress” and will explore the ways a variety of industries might collaborate to foster empathy in our communities, workforces, and the society at large. Several participatory experiences will be facilitated to showcase what empathy-building might look and feel like. The group of up to 15 experts will include several contributing authors to “Designing for Empathy,” as well as experts in Ethics and Values, Information Technology, Health, Design, Behavioral Sciences, Philosophy, Arts and Humanities, as well as Museums and Science Centers.
